Yep, Ozone is a UK based paragliding company that grew to include kites and now Kitesurfing kites.
I think one of the partners married a Kiwi that is why they do some work in NZ.
And they like the isolation perhaps ;)

If you want school kites contact a local rep if you can find one, that way you get known and perhaps better support. But shop around if price is your only concern.
Ozone didn't treat the schools/importers too well that helped get their brand established so keep your eyes wide open.
The founders of the company were all from the UK.
The CEO lives in Scotland.
The paraglider designers and testers are in France.
One of the former founders of the company lives in NZ and develops all the kites there.
The factory for everything is in Vietnam.

Good info. I would never have thought Ozone was as small a company as they are. But being that they were founded by a para glider it now makes complete sense why the Edge has so much lift and float.

I thought it was common knowledge about Ozone s paragliding heritage - hence the feel and aerodynamic advantage of their wings. The legendary Ozone feel....UK company, Raglan, NZ, based

Why would you think it would be common knowledge unless someone came from paragliding?

Billie,
Respectively disagree. Robbie was a co owner but now is contracted or just on the payroll to design kites for Ozone. Foil designer from the beginning and took over the inflatable kites design from Dave Pilkenton in '09. Rob is one of the most free spirited people I know. I don't think owner ship is in his blood. disclamer...I can't speak for him, so I can't be 100% positive of the above. But we did spend a lot of time together snowkiting in Utah when he live here.

Ozone Kites are really high end and use the best of Materials.
Good variety as well... Reo, Catalyst, Edge Zephyr and the Snowkites are a big it here for Winter
In Canada, going into Spring now... and looking forward to a great Season.!
