I have a few wakesurf boards I use to wakesurf. I've tried them all with a kite and didn't really like it. The fins are tiny and the board is
supper wide. It kinda feels like a hybrid of a skim board and a surf board.

I don't think that board could stand up to kite surfing as it's a hand shaped custom foam board.
If you look at one of the wakeboard style sandwich construction boards like the Reform or one of the Liquid Force wake surfing skims they'll stand up much better. The reform comes in a kite specific version too but it's not out yet for 2013.

Just picked up a LF kitefish 5'3. This board is super fun for light wind and very well priced. It's like a skimboard meets wakeskate meets surfboard. Makes little waves and chop fun. Olies and shoveits are easy and fun. I look forward to light wind now!

Second the liquid force 5'3" great for LW with kite. Good construction. Cheap, the wake surf version is identical and can be found cheaper sometimes through wake shops.
Agree that the fins suck for LW or waves. Get smaller fins for flat water LW and buy larger bolt through 5" surf fins for surf, set up as twin fish. I.e. 2 fins. Changes the board completely for wave carves.
