He missed all his grabs. Except for the sent ones. Or maybe he was just trying to swat a fly away from the edge of his board.

andy likes to throw his elbow not as much head movement to initiate counter rotation on slims & kgb or to continue rotation and finish a mobe. I agree it sometimes looks like a sloppy grab.

based off the riding sequence I'd say he strongly prefers boots.


And that's supposedly after coming from a straps background too..

Mostly straps for me, unless super flat water.

Boots with power. Can't keep board on my feet with straps if kite is low.

Straps if I have to send the kite to get off the water.

Strapless is for waves. (had to throw that in there).

They're crap, as you don't have advantages of boots and you lose all of the advantages of straps. What I mean is you can't kick your board away and at the same time your ankle is not stable as in boots.

Why is that? Boots excel in choppy waters, much easier to hold your edge.
