You who only kite liquid water really need to check out the vid on the Snow/Land forum. Flyoming is one of the most amazing videos I've seen.

Thanks for posting that video up there Don! I'd be really interested to know what kitesurfers think of snowkiting? We all waterkite for the most part, but really love snowkiting. We put some elbow greese into the vid, so hope you like it...Here's the link to the video...

Hi Don,
Thanks a lot for sharing that video. That is the best snow kiting clip I have seen so far.
I'm in the lucky position not to be in any contact with snow since the last 20 years (except when flying over the Ant/Arctic or any snowy mountains), but that attracted my interest.
Cheers

Nice Caesar, I appreciate the perspective. I'm glad the video sparked your interest. We were hoping to make a short video that would encourage kitesurfers to snowkite, or at least put it on their radar.

Amazing video. There is no way you can watch that and not want to do it for yourself. That just changed my recreational travel directions next winter for sure.

Will,
Kudos to you for putting together such an epic film.
The interesting thing about snowkiting is that the learning curve is big for water kiters. No, I am not taking about riding a snow field, I am talking about big mountain kiting. I have seen pros struggle for days on the snow. I guess it is about as approachable as kiting big waves. It looks awesome, it is awesome, but the transfer from water to mountains is not a simple one.
Thanks for taking it to another level. I have an appreciation of how hard you worked to obtain those shots! I have to admit that I am filming less and less. It is tough filming in the cold.
I hope to ride with you and Wayne again.
Kenny

Seriously? If you kite on a snowboard, is it really such a big difference? Curious...
To the producer of that clip (knewschool?)- have you ever thought about offering this footage to Discovery Channel? I'm sure they would be interested and you might make a good buck out of it.
Cheers

I've gotten to he point where I'm not interested in snowboarding in a normal resort with the lifts and lines and tons of people.
But this makes me want to snowboard in remote locations and kite in remote locations.
This is like the Heli ski trips that people used to take...but without the helicopter!!
Beautiful footage, great kiting skills and the flying is awesome.
Nice job.
