And compared to what you really pay for boards of other brands in a local shop here in Germany, you will come out about 60-70% more expensive than the competition.
Guess it will stay at about 0% market share here.

Could be worse - you could live in Japan and things could be up to 100% more expensive

Its really none of my business.
They can try and sell them for as much as they want.

But in Germany they will not sell many this way.
And we could use more variety

Agree they are expensive. My regional shop told me they will be 850 €
Still thinking of getting a 5'4" surf version from england for 700€ and putting some glass on the deck. Have the materials...but end up being just as expensive.
If I had a trip to US I could get one there....
Japan I visit regularly, bikes are cheap, boards not.

I'm around 165lbs and the 5'0" is my daily ride. I've done the 5'6" (way to much board for my weight), the 5'2" and now the 5'0" and could probably go a tad smaller in high wind.

I ordered the Vanguard Kite in the 5'2 size. I'm 150lbs (68kgs). After seeing what you posted above, I'm wondering if I should get the 5'0 size instead. I'm mainly using it for small coastal waves and river swell waves (waist to shoulder high waves). I also plan to do some strapless freestyle with it. Can anyone confirm if the 5'0 would be the better choice for my weight and riding type? Felix would you know?

If you like the Surftech price point (I know I do), try and get a Surftech with the UltraFLX construction. IMO a much better feel than the Tuflites and I picked up a brand new board (no fins) for $299 from Real.

I like the strength of the tuflites for jumping. I just got a webber afterburner tuflite. Perfect kite board.
