Had a great first session on my 5'2, started d-winder at around 15 knots & ended near 25 (fully depowered flying a 9m Wave).
The VG handled it all in its stride & has a really good feel to it, rode it as a thruster with CM fins.
Happy days

I use the 5'6". I surf it and kite it, im 185 LB. It seems to work well for both. For me the 5'4" would work better for kitesurfing but only so much money available, one board for both.

5'4 with out a question.
At a185# you should have no problem surfing and kiting it.
You don't want to go to big on the VGs
I have 230# guys riding the 5'4 here is hawaii and the board is working insane for them. Not sure if they would be able to paddle it but at 185# you should have no issue.
The board has glide.
You can also try real water sports. They have a whole range.
Regards
Felix

Hi everyone,
For those interested on a Vanguard I'm selling my 5'4" kite version that I purchase at the end of April and I used like 6 times only as my secondary board. The main reason to sale it is that the board floats to much for my weight (158 lbs).
The board is in Puerto Rico and have a full pad with inserts (cost $125). Shipping cost only is $120 to any of the 48 Continental States thru Fed Ex Second day. I'm asking $750 shipped to any of the 48 Continental States. No fins included or straps included on the price. For more details please send me a PM.
If some one outside the USA is RESIOUSLY interested send me a PM with your address and I can check with the local Fed Ex office the Shipping cost. I calculate that ship the board to Europe would cost like $100 more but I need to double check with Fed Ex...............
Paypal only.

Bummer
At 158# you need to be on a 5'0 or 5'2 max.
Its such a big difference.
Like riding a high performance short board to a long board.

Felix
