Which brands are made in China?
Slingshot kites
what else?
Which brands aren't?
North kites are made in Sri Lanka
North boards are from Austria
Ozone are made in Vietnam
Slingshot boards/bindings are from USA
what else?

chris1974, I'm just curious. I prefer to buy gear in Asia, because its cheap here. So I want to know about where production takes place.

Cabrinha, LF. Most other brands. I would be interested if you can get a better deal from buying factory direct.

Never heard about someone buying directly from factory. I think its almost impossible.

For kites....
North and Zian kites from Sri Lanka.
Ozone from Viet Nam.
Blade and Epic from China.
Don't know about Best and Core...
but lots of kites are made in China.
For boards...
Wainman are made in Austria.
SU-2 are made in Poland.
Shinn are made in Poland.
I think Blade are made in Poland, but I'm not positive.

The brands ensures that there are no prices differential across the countries / continent. I am wondering how it is cheaper in China then?
