The SURF 12M is ready for production and I was waiting to test the last prototype I got of the SURF (8M-5M) because I was not very happy with the last (8M & 5M) prototype I got few weeks ago. So now I am almost ready to put the SURF (8M and 5M) into production with the SURF 12M but I just need to do some small adjustments on the bridles.
So once they go into production it will take 5 to 8 weeks for the protection depending the factory.
Concerning the pricing will find out very soon.
One think I know for sure is that I don't want to let out of my sight my SURF (5-8-12) because I love their performance in the waves.

If i am in 12m weather in the waves my wife cannot be on an 8
Same if i am in 8m weather in the waves she cannot be on a 5

Too much gap... she will have no fun compared to me..and it's important that she has fun !

75 kg & 51 kg + surfboards + drift + whitewater + gotta go right back upwind after riding waves
No downwinders for the both of us

She is been riding 11 years in surf

If i am on 12 she is on 10
If i am on 10 she is on 8
If i am on 8 she is on 6
If i am on 6 she is on 5

So looks like you may need to consider building a 10 and a 6 or 6.5 .......just 2 more kites sizes

Just my 2-4 cents :surf:

Personally i can go from 12 to 8 quite easily but i much prefer going from an 8 to a 6
5 is for special occasions when it is really cranking and nothing else will do to stay safe

These are pictures of some kiters demoing the prototype SURF (8-12) meter kites yesterday.
The one holding the SURF 8M is very very picky when it comes to waves. He wants a kite that will turn very fast on its axis, that will drift down when wave riding, that won't go to the edge of the window, that will relaunch very fast in case it goes down and will depower when the bar is push all the way but again with responsiveness. Well all these were met yesterday after he tested the kites. Now he wants to buy all three of them. So I guess I better start the production on the SURF (12-8-5).

Ok Mr. prayfawind27 will be able to take your money real soon since the SURF 12/8/5 kites are ready for production.
But in the mean time I am having an epic solo fun time in the waves in LongBoat Key (Florida) on the SURF 8m prototype and the REEF 6'0" surf board during a big storm.

Hello guys.
If you are into wave riding and love surfing...then the SURF 5/8/12 model was designed specifically for the love of surfing. You should see the faces of the people that have already demo the SURF kite and bought it. Even our Epic dealers can't stop talking about it.
Like the KITEBOARDING magazine said on their latest test: "The SURF kite is a class of its own". The only problem is that we are sold out and should get more in 15 days. So if you are interested in getting one, then make sure to contact info@epickites.com so we can have one set a side for you. Or get in touch with our select Epic dealers world wide.
Ok time to go back in the water.

WY surf.jpg
Finally taking the time to post a few pictures of our last trip to Utah and Wyoming past March!
Got some insane powder and wind conditions as well as the usual amazing scenery and friendly locals welcome!

The kite quiver was the SURF 5/8/12m from EPIC Kites.
Bar 4G with 22 and 18m line set up.

The 3 kites fit perfectly in 1 single EPIC bag, with bar, pump and harness.
The 2 side pockets worked great for wax, screw driver, maps, ....etc.

gusty surf.jpg
High altitude wind is usually very gusty and weather comes very fast. The SURF kite eats the gusts very good and the long depower throw gives a wide wind range.
KL surf.jpg
Fast turning on its axis for looping uphill or throwing KL tricks!!

And a very good looking kite!:-)

I'm more interest in why you think the Surf is a good snow kite, opposed to say the Renegade or the screamer.
Thanks
Brian

Great pictures of the SURF Kite in the snow but why did you use the SURF Kite for the snow instead of the Renegade or the Screamer?
Have you tried it in the waves yet?
