I'd like to read something about North Light Wind kites comparison....

The kites should be Dyno 15, Dyno 17, Fuse 16 and Fuse 18. Maybe compare against previous versions of Dyno, like 18 2011 and 17 2012.

The most important points are Upwind ability, low end, turning speed, lift, hangtime and relaunch.

Although I absolutely love my North Fuse 12m for good wind conditions, it is horrible in light wind. I have tried a 16m Fuse in light wind and the relaunching capabilities are poor, and the kite tends to back stall quite frequently.

... damn, thats another nail in the big Fuse's coffin, at least in my book.

Backstalling is possibly the worst trait of all, I hate it with a vengance and my 2012 Dyno 17m did it first time out, so I had to re-tune my bar to make it better but still, not a good trait at all!

KiteloopKip, can you write a bit more detail about the 16m please?

Based on that review about Fuse, here is my question:

As EVO has an excellent lowend and don't backstall, why did North choose Fuse to make such big sizes against EVO?

EVO could loose 10lbs of plastic and might do a little better in light wind.

Dyno LTD 17M Hands down. I weigh 245 Pies. Has the Static Pull so you don't have to sign your name to get or keep going. I kite Only in the Ocean w Tons of drift. I go to a Rebel 14 after the 17. Have flown Flys, Fat Ls, Wainmans (which have GREAT LOW END) , BWS, Etc. If you want to stay upwind, not get pulled Downwind with some quote: LIGHTWIND KITES: or if you do not want a Foil which I own (Speed 3 21) then the Dyno IMO is the Choice.

If you are in the Popcorn Fart weight class then don't take any of my Experience.

... hey 14, with your pies, have you used the LTD in its upper range and does the LTD fold in the LE when pushed a bit ie LE folding, when edging hard or in jumps? What pressure do you pump your kite up too?

sometime I use a boom with 32 m race lines ,of course loosing turning speed but gain so much power.
Cannot say exactly ,more or less could be a couple of knots or 1,5 square mt. kite
it means a double options with the larger kite I have.
thinking about new dyno 9 ,but do not know how will be

Puetz, yes, last week I flew the LTD in Gust up around 23 MPH. The kite never deformed in the gusts. I did put 2.5M Extensions on it before that Sesh. For me the Exts give me a little more time to learn to Switch my feet before my turn.

I pump the LTD to 6 PSI. THE LTD Is Rock solid. In that higher wind I never felt out of control. The LTD is spot on with Bar control for Depower.
