What is the difference between the 2012 and 2013 North Fuse?

Postby Caesar » Mon Apr 15, 2013 1:23 pm

Hi,

Do you know by any chance the difference between the 2012 and 2013 Fuse other than the color?
How do they compare?
Thank you.

Cheers

One hit the market late fall 2011, the other one during the fall 2012.

Actually, the 2012 Fuse hit the market in the Spring of 2012, and the 2013 Fuse hit in the Spring of 2013 (a few weeks ago).

Since it's still the Spring of 2013, I haven't actually ridden a 2013 or talked to anyone who has. There are a few out on beaches for demo and in shops for sale right now so I hope to have more feedback soon.

All I can tell you is what I see by looking at them... The front bridle is considerably shorter for 2013 than it has been in previous years. It is also available in larger sizes (16 and 18).

Other than that I'll try to post feedback when I receive it. If anyone else has had any experience I'm all ears.

-Dan

You are exactly right Caesar.

I just wanted to leave a smart ass comment, your reply made me laugh.
But even more Dan at North reply;

Had to fall on a kite release date that is different from most of them :(

Hi mate,

Just coming back from a very fantastic Rammstein concert in Lisboa (that was the main reason I went across the Atlantic) and surely I will give feedback. One more concert of The Grandmothers (previously Mothers Of Invention) and then back to Cumbuco.

Cheers

Caesar, I have the 2013 fuse but have not flown it yet, I will let you know as soon as I do.

I have flown the fuse in every year it was made from 2010 on, I loved last years kite it was brilliant for me best fuse so far, I bet 2013 is amazing! And I got a 16 to play with since it is a new size!

Another snowkite team rider James has been on his 16
fuse I asked him to come share his experience on the forum.

... hey Caesar, I hope you get ozzie humour,,, but,,, yoooooou bastard, I'm sooooooo jelly (as my daughter would say,, jelly = jealous), you got to see the best band in the world,,,, only saw Rammstein once live my self and been a huge fan since '95,,,,, they blew away every other band by miles, Iggy Pop and even Tool were no match, 15,000 people all screaming and being at the front was one intense moment indeed!!!!

Will look forward to your Fuse findings as well btw!

cheers,

Robbie :thumb:
