if you don't use the sliding stopper.......... cut it off !

You'll gain around 35 to 40mm of travel.

The North swivel works well when you manually turn it. The Naish one is up on the lines and often doesn't work.. no manufacturer has ever had a swivel up there that has worked reliably. Personally I just do back or front rolls to untwist my front lines so it doesn't matter to me.. I would rather they just left it off their bar system (in fact they have omitted it on their 2013 Ride bar).

 CG

but you can just turn the line under the swivel? I am very little attention to it, I think mine works (not sure)...

Hmm..but I know for sure that I can just turn the lines...so turn the lines under the swivel to uncork the line twists above..Once the twists are under the swivel the tension is enough to then if the line under the swivel is twisted, just turn it back super easy...presto no twists...but this is when the swivel is almost ground stuck (last years bar).

Thanks Dave - I did a little playing last night with the cleat positioning and managed to reclaim a few inches so I'll try it out when the wind is next nuking - and also do a side by side comparison with the UCS depower rope to make sure half of this isn't just in my mind from riding a BTB depower system for so long. Helpful input from everyone as always. Thanks. :D

Dave sails. Do you happen to know the diameter of the Amstel you bought. Thanks.

I have different size Rebels from 2008 to 2012 and bars from 2008 to 2011 and none of them have ever dropped out of the sky with the bar pushed all the way out, even with the trim set at maximum depower. I don't think I would want them to.
