88kg 1,90m - what kite to buy?

Postby Groovepunk » Thu Oct 01, 2015 4:12 pm

Dear all,

I am a new comer to kitesurfing, just bought a cabrinha switchblade 10m 2014 and a cabrinha spectrum 2015 148x43.

I should say that I am 88kg an 1,90m. I am now thing about buying. Bigger kite, still not sure about the size, this are the possibilities:
- airush litihum 2015 12m
- airush lithium 2015 14m
- best kahona plus v6 13,5 m
- cabrinha switchblade 12 or 14 meters

I would love if some one can give some pointers from experience, because in the info that I find I the net there is mixed info regarding the size.

You already have a switchblade 10m, buy a 14m switchblade to complement that and you'll be fine.

Board is a bit big and will be boring when you can ride, you can still keep that for low wind or sell it to another beginner when you're ready for a smaller board. With your weight I would look for something that's around 135-138 in length and 41-42 wide.

as frank 82 said your board is large and in my experience should be used for light wind, consider getting a smaller board for my powered up kiting.
