On this amazing flying kite, Is there any improvement quality wise on it for 2024? A lot of people have had bridles breaking before on this kite, that is serious shit, and several have had problems with the valve close to the end of the leading edge to open while kiting, why is it even there?
If this is fixed this might be the best kite ever.

It's there so that you can deflate/roll faster vertically and you can keep the main valve closed avoiding dirt/sand to get in it. I actually like it and Duotone isn't the only brand using one.
Several had problems with it opening while kiting?? Right, not only is it the first time I hear about it but I can't see how. There is a double velcro fastener that secures it.
Can't speak for the bridles, though.

I have had multiple friends and have read of others who have had the velcro blown off the deflate valve, and hence the kite deflating mid air. The velcro then has to be professional sewn back on. The bridal also catches on the valve frequently if not careful when launching or if the launcher isnt aware of this possibility. The kite is incredible, but they need to get rid of this valve. There are many other options for inflate/deflate (boston valve for one...) that dont get sand stuck in them. I am hoping they get rid of this dump valve in for evo d lab next generation....

You are just riding these kites too hard, they are made for rich snob to show how much money they have
You don't buy Ferrari as daily driver isn't?
They will figure out these problem and probably 2-3 years product will be mature and ready for mass market for now they brave buyers are guinea pigs

I do not think so. Other brands have sports cars also in the list but without common problems ...

Using evo sls / dlabs for the past 4 years as a family of 3. I have never had any problems with bridles breaking or with the deflate valve opening while kiting. I did have leading edge of sls kites explode twice back when I used to pump with compressor (probably overinflated but could not be sure as there was no gauge). I started to use the manual pump since last year, pumping only to 7-7.5 psi with zero issues since going the pump route.
Financially, dlab is definitely a very bad investment. SLS is a much better buy for the difference you get in performance vs what you pay. But if you have the means, you should try the dlab, it is a very good kite.

Just because those stories don't reach you doesn't mean it doesn't happen..
Local kiter here glued the valve after it opened while kiting to get rid of the hassle.

evo d/lab 2024 has not been released yet.
there is only one version available yet .. new release afaik is the same, just new colors and probably in march/april
have a dlab for 10 sessions now and fingers crossed no problems, but yes, all the other written here are true, except i haven't heard of snapping bridles
there are also leaky bladders in evo dlab unfortunately, even if Dan-at-duotone said that this problem has been fixed with the SLS since the 2023 range (it is present on the sls 2024 range too)

I am looking forward to them, releasing the version that Andrea actually uses because until then it’s a marketing stunt.
Look what this kid can do on a Kite you can’t buy etc…
