The reviews I've seen say "average jumping performance"... and I want to fly
my Crossbows are pretty good when the wind is up!
Hello Kamikuza,
At the Prodigy the timing for jump is easier comparing to the Razor, the high is almost the same but the prodigy has a better hang time....
The prodigy is a freeride machine with huge wind range easy to fly and very predictable especially in hign gusty wind....
The spot is Vrachati only 1 hour from the center of Athens Greece

Gust soaking Prodigy for sure... 15 knot puffs roll in all the time 20 degrees from the other side!
When comparing the Prodigy to a Razor's jumping you could argue that it is average... the Razor has a rep of being grunty to rip you outta the water! The Prod has it too (same designer) but the kite reacts better to the average rider... further excelling the experience!!
The local school; Strong, has been teaching with these kites and have found a kite that "doesn't need any further improvement" as mentioned earlier. So from lessons to boosting at advanced rider spots this kite does it all for many different people with a wide range of riding styles!
The Razor has proven to be an amazing kite, now with the Prodigy, OR is making it easier for anyone to be into kite boarding!

Works well for me when my boat is stuck in the muck at Sherman.

I spent a couple of hours on (rental) Prodigy 9.5 and 7m last month while on vacation at Hood River. I normally kite Rally's, Kahoona's and 2010 Naish Chargers (delta's) in the surf. I was surprised how well the Prodigy behaves in gusts and overpowered, compared to those kites. Super stable and smooth in a huge wind range. Lines were connected at the "fast steering" positions, but I found the Prodigy not all that fast. The 7 was slower than other kites of that size, which I think is actually a good thing for a small all-round kite.
Depower throw was fine for me, and jumping was OK, but not very floaty (average for a small kite).
I also rented a Mako board and managed to get the lines a little slack during fast carving gybes and the kites behaved beautifully. I can imagine they would do very nice in the waves.
