Guys, can anyone assist me here? I purchased a kite whilst on vacation with a VAT saving however now this company won't pay the VAT or respond. Do you know of them? Do you have any direct contacts that may assist me. Thanks

Yeah....its not in the spirit of the kiting community. Be careful shopping with this retailer.

Hi,
Can you please explain what you have done to get the VAT back?
Just sending back an invoice is not enough.
Sure it is a pity they are not responding but I saw in the News that Germany has major problems with flooding and lot's of places have been evacuated. Maybe that company resides in one of those areas?
Cheers
Caesar

No. All the paperwork was completed correctly and initial moves were made to credit but then they just stopped communicating. It would be good if someone knows the owner....maybe staff are the problem???

Just called them and as expected they claim that it is too late to claim.
I transacted in the correct time frame and they avoided the refund or worse still maybe pocketed the VAT themselves. VERY SHONKY.
I wonder whether the Manager, Manfred, is aware of this. Maybe the staff have a rort going????
Be Careful if you buy from this company!!!!

Too late to claim?
When did you buy, when did you leave Germany, did you get a custom stamp at the Airport and when did they receive the stamped invoice for the VAT claim?

Yeah. All claimed and stamped correctly at the Airport on departure. I then contacted the company and they said they needed banking details, accounts to deposit etc. They agreed bit never processed. VERY SHONKY.
