Tomo Vanguard Fin setup

Postby Rotule » Sat Jun 28, 2014 2:08 am

Hello Vanguard Lovers,

I just ordered my 5'2" vanguard and I figured out it comes only with futures fins setup.

On my other baord i Used the TC aqualine Tri set and loved them but now i need something that fits Futures.

I'm 185 lbs and I ride in lakes (i'm landlocked) so the waves are small breakers but some spots can have bigger waves (6-8 foot) but doesn't break so strong.

I'd like to know what you are using and what you recommend :D

Rode it with AM's and the Stretch thrusters. Both are sweet, it depends what you want the board to do, if you really like leaning in powerful and drawing out long turns get something closer to an AM that has a lot of sweep to it. If you are looking for quick fast cuts/ turns then WCT's are the least swept fin in the future lineup. I would personally lean on the side of more sweep and area since the larger forces of kiting versus surfing.

Go on futures or fcs websites and both companies have "fin schools" which teach you what different aspects of your fins do.

I use the Mulcoy fins on my 5'4" Vanguard and I like it more with 4 Fin set up...........
on my Firewire Hellfire 5'6" I prefer the thruster set up.

The Mulcoy 5 fin set is a great add to your quiver of fins. :thumb:
