Hi guys,

How do you dry your kite? Do you leave it out on the shore in the sun until it dries? What do you do when it's raining?

Hang it over a close line with the kite partially inflated.

put it in the apartment somewhere deflated, flip it over after a few hours.

UV and the trailing edge flapping in the wind in the biggest killer of kites. Dry at home in the shade.

I've been lucky enough to have a huge garage to leave kite fully inflated (17m!)... that is ending soon though, and not an option to bring kite into house since for me wet = sandy .

I'm thinking i'll just drop the kite in the salt water before packing up to make sure its minimum amount of freshwater on the kite...

I dry my kites after every session and on busy days when my demos or training kites are getting used, it can take a while, but it's well worth the effort. Dry the kites or they will stain the canopy. One area that is hard to dry if the kite is still inflated is where the LE meets the canopy. It's hard to get fresh air in there, so have the kite fully deflated, but open up the LE area from the Canopy and it will dry quickly.

Don't dry on grass if it's sunny or every time you turn it over, the underside will be wet from dew.

In the rain. Im another man with a big garage. I pump it up and leave it overnight. dry kite in the morning.

Many riders worldwide have to land kites in the water solo, hence a wet kite.

Or we ride hard and crash a lot.

Yep I havent got a huge garage but big enough with lines suspended from the roof. Attach pigtails to keep of ground and next morning all good. Fresh or salt water I hate having wet kites sitting in bags, colours run, leave them long enough and its mould city. Dry them.
