I built this rack about 15 years ago and I've been using it ever since.

I dry kites, wetsuits, cycling gear, running gear, anything that gets wet. I've even dried a paraglider.

It's just some 50mm plastic pipe, 4 joints, a couple of eye-bolts in the ceiling and some scrap rope and gaffer tape. I taped it up to see if it would work and I never got around to gluing it.

So pretend you live in an apartment... then where do you dry it? I'm wondering if I should make some kind of drying rack to weave the kite through...

Hopefully I won't get the kite very wet as I become better... but... I'm guessing the lines may still get wet... ?

lines don't need drying

if the kite don't get wet you're not going outside your comfort zone

Maybe keep the struts inflated and stand it up loosely in your shower?

The lines, bar, chicken loop all have to be rinsed after a session, and preferably dunked in a bucket of fresh water as well. If I have time I like to wind them out on my lawn, let them dry at least partially, inspect them and wind them up. But putting the bar and lines away wet will not hurt them.

At your favorite flatwater spot, use the flag pole of the guy who positively hate kiters.
