How well does the Element sit on a wing tip when tether launched?

Tether launch all the V1 Switch kites just fine. And have a bunch of other kites too.

Been riding a Switch Element 13m nearly everday here (Mokuleia 'n' Kailua) for over a year. Works great in everything from my low end (12kts) up to gusts in the 25-30kts range for me on a big TT, surfboards, and my homemade alaia. Of course being a petite (255 pounds) guy who only rides flat water (Oahu winter and Kailua all year) i can see how i got lucky to make this kite work. What's the emoji for 'dripping' with sarcasm

Tether launch is no problem. The wide wing tip and 'C' shape helps to kept the kite stable even in gusty conditions.

Does the direct fixed bridle require a single front line safety release system on the bar?
When is the new bar due for release, and will it be single line release?

No, the fixed bridle does not require a single line release.
We are waiting for new components to be manufactured and tested. The new bar will feature three release options: double front line , single front line or 5th line option.

Having multiple release options is a great idea allowing it to be varied between rider and conditions.

Has the more direct feel changed the bar pressure? I had suffered from elbow tendinitis for a couple of seasons using my old kites, changed to the E1's and have had no problems since. Steered away from he Methods due to the bar pressure and mainly use the E1's in the waves.

Elbow tendonitis is an issue for many riders and we feel your pain.
We have made it a requirement that on all our V2 models riders will no longer have to fear the discomfort.
You have nothing to worry about with the new Element2 or any of our V2 models.

Slightly shorter. Less freedom to move around and catch a wingtip. Much more direct feel and response.

How's the bar pressure on the Element? That's the one thing I hated about the E1, waaaay to light for my liking.

We did a survey last year http://switchkites.com/headquarters/for ... f=5&t=1960 and this was a comment by several riders. Element2 has rear and front line attachment options which allow the rider to tune BP from light to medium.
