North Evo VS Rebel

Postby gvironda » Fri Jun 21, 2013 6:54 pm

Hi guys
I currently kite on evo and neo, and was thinking about tryin a Rebel, altought it is not easy to find a demo where I live
Can you tell me if turnin speed of the rebel is faster or slower than evo?
I suppose hang time better due to aspect ratio
thanks a lot

I've been riding Rebels and picked up an Evo 5m this season. It probably depends on the size but my impression is that the Evo moves around a lot more and is not as stable as the Rebel. The Evo has more of a C kite feel and may be slightly faster so I can understand why some people like it. However, I think the speed of the Rebels is just right and I prefer the stability of Rebels in gusty conditions. If you're a freestyler who is used to C kites then you may prefer the Evo, however, if you're more of a hooked-in freerider then you would likely prefer the Rebel. Just my opinion, ymmv.

Quali misure?quali venti? onde ? piatto?io uso rebel ,if you need turning speed maybe any other kite is better.ieri ho confrontato religion 6 con la mia rebel 6 e in rotazione non c'è paragone ,stessa cosa con le ozone.

sorry I am lazy writing in english(harder at least)
I think factory did not make yet a kite combining speed ,power, windrange, precision, with turning speed and 4 line easy using.
maybe is not possible ,like airplanes does not exist mach 2 flying and immediate turning, should be an UFO so is a compromise .
is there a mix between rebel and religion ?will get at once!
tried neo 10 2012 ,found slow and hard like 2011 model that I sold after few session.
cannot say 2013 model,I am going to try next days at local school.
choosing depends also from our spot and level .
I am using rebel 5 6 7 here in sardinia but
on next trip to south africa (can't wait for!) I will consider my medium level surfing bigger waves between 30 and 40 kn with rebel's speed (going in the washing machine was a guarantee)so even if I do not like I will buy something easier ,slower ,less risk of falling like could be a neo or similar.
I suggest the friend from milan not to get rebels if he likes and needs turning speed mostly

ciao Piccio!
i wish I could be in sardinia that often!
I will give a try to the rebels, it is such a different kite compared to all the others I tried
I also loved the bar pressure and speed of the religion, but they don't jump enough for the use I make
bandits are also nice, but in the big sizes which I use a lot difficult to relaunch
have fun in south africa!
