Certeza: Nope wake crashes are far worse. I pulled out inserts on a board and gave myself a concussion at the cable. Never had a crash like that one kite.
Boots are ok in the surf if its with in reason. In real waves I would never recommend it. Then again you should be on a surfboard then.
