WOOHOO!
I had some lessons in the spring and one solo session, in which I had some short but awesome downwind rides. Then all summer, life got in the way. I spent two weeks at the beach in July, but the conditions were death for beginners: perfectly onshore wind with waves and chop, so I never even got into position for a waterstart, because I couldn't body drag upwind past the waves. Got very frustrated and felt really stupid.
But I've got all next week at Hatteras, with flat water and a few friends to keep me safe. All I need is wind, and the forecast there is up and down. Here's hoping!
-Tim
Edit: Looks like wind won't be a problem, thanks to hurricane Karen. Gulp!

Stoked that fall winds have finally picked up here. Two Saturdays in a row have been good, and last Friday was great. I almost forgot to notice how nice the fall scenery was until I looked at this pic my friend took.

Absolutely killer day!! After having one of my mango trees almost blow into the house due to all the wind last night I went early-ish to Kailua....good sized waves, and great wind. First a strapless wave session then a big jump hangtime session.
Awesome!!!!!

What a day today. It was a beautiful clear blue day. Constant strong wind. It was bloody cold but the conditions were perfect. It was one of those days where everything comes together and everything you try you land. I not saying I'm doing mega tricks, just the ones that make me smile
So, so, so Stoked!
Hope you all had a good Sunday surf.
Paul

9M day in Tennessee yesterday!
That doesn't happen too often here other than in thunderstorms. Gusts to 29kts which was pretty sporty for this mostly lightwind kite geek. Too much fun.
