Rode a cyclone yesterday and it was epic!! Cyclone luci hit NZ yesterday morn.
We started off at 9am overpowered on 5m kites. Sheeet those things are crazy zippy. Boost a mean jump then just drop out the sky, really gotta load back up early on that size super twitchie.
After a 2hr 5m sesh the 6 of us who braved the cyclone had a BBQ & some beers, by that time the wind had dropped to about 40knotts so we pumped up the 8's.
Tide was out so we battle out to the estuary sand bar channel where the water was butter :o the wind was super consistently pounding & there were only 6 of us boosting maaaaaad jumps!
Epic day, one of the best I've had :thumb:

Hope you enjoy some pics. Last pic is on the 5 in absolute shit. Then the others are on the butter.
We set up 2 gopros, one on the sandbank & one on the chest.
As you can see our spot was plenty empty.

STOKE :D

Really nice shot's there buddy, that made me very Jealous!

No kiting stoke at the moment as I've sold all my gear and waiting for my new 2014 kites to arrive :thumb:

But I did my first bi-athalon this weekend ready for the London Tri athalon later in the year and did a sub 1 hour :)

Did a little down winder today. Token wind. About 12 knots. So I take my 12 chrono and light wind TT. Had some sweet shoulder to head high waves. Real nice. Not a combo you a tribute to waves. But it worked sweet.
