Hi all,

Please watch the following movie and then continue to read:

More than a year ago I posted here a topic asking your opinion about the need of a mounting system for GoPro and similar cameras that will provide a natural and attractive POV (Point Of View) for kitesurfing. The positive feedbacks that I got here (and elsewhere), led me to found a new company that will focus on new innovative solutions for self filming in extreme sports. This is how Wizmount was born.
The system was born and developed mainly in kitesurfing, but as you will see in the movies, it can be used in almost any extreme sport that you can think of. Versatility, comfort, image stability, top quality, safety and reasonable pricing were among our main considerations.
All details can be found at www.wizmount.com
Our Facebook: www.facebook.com/wizmount - Give us a like/share to stay connected and help us take off
We are establishing now our worldwide sales channels. In the mean time the systems can be pre-ordered through our web site. Expected ship - July 25th.
Hope you will like it as we do.

Thank you,
Zvika

The rotating helmet mount is by far the best POV I've seen yet,,, by a long shot, but its novelty and not something your going to film a whole lot of footage with... Same kind of angle as this mount, but with the added super awesome bonus that it pans around you. I can only imagine how clunky and kooky it must be to ride with, but no question it adds a ton to a video. Just like this one, you get to see the rider and appreciate the movement and share their perspective, but when it moves around it adds a whole other element that static just cant hold a candle to. Like I said, novelty, to string together a decent video you pretty much gotta have this too, with the rotating bit in a few choice shots where you could pull it off. The two shots would blend really nicely. The standard helmet mount footage with no visible rider is the worst possible angle for boardsports like kiting. In a fisheye you gotta see the rider and they gotta be stupid close, otherwise it just flattens waves and makes everything look real far away. I like the product and think it, or something like it is needed for decent go pro style filming under a kite.

Makes me want a go pro

I must admit when I first saw the name I thought it was a dick mounted camera.

Apart from that looks good. :-)

Really liked it 8)

Just a question on snagging really. i am accident prone. how easy is it to get your lines wrapped around this and what safty mechanism is in place to release it if this did happen?

Next question how much?

Thanks guys for the positive feedback - we really worked hard over a year to come with this product.

Don't position your camera too much forward, then the chances of snagging are slim. Sure you cannot do handle pass moves, but for free riding, old school moves, wave riding it is super.
If, for some reason, your line wrapped around the system pole, you just need to take it off by your hand. During the year of testing it happened only twice, and that was when guys positioned the camera too much forward.

In a case, which never happened so far, that you cannot release your lines for some reason, you can always release the backpack by two buckles.

Price - $150 for a complete system with top of the line custom made backpack that can be used as hydration backpack as well. Please visit http://www.wizmount.com for more details or watch the following video that gives more technical details on the product:
