Yea your right without the Transmitter. I already have a entry level dx6i. So far its got 7 models on it. It can hold up to ten. I would spend the extra money and get a transmitter. Dx6i is a 6 channel, it also just dropped in price to 139.99. Look on ebay for the gimble. They are half the price. Might be shit but worth a look at. I searched go pro damper and they came up.

Here is something custom, from tony! This guy is the man.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8Aku8-leew

Here is the same Iconic x being hiked to the fpv spot. siiiickkkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_EQmDvKFfE

Haha be careful with rc helis, planes and anything rc they are addicting like kitesurfing!! Heres https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQU-8FEmvs8......Notice the jello this this video....but the scene is top notch.

I was recently in Nassau, Paradise Island for work when a film crew showed up with a quad- copter with a HD camera and a pro operator. They tested it over the resort area and then changed the power pack to fly it out over the beach; as they flew it out about 100 meters off the beach which was closed due to surf it went splash. It took them 30 minutes for someone to get a SUP to look for it but it was gone. Think it cost more than $1000 bucks and it wasn't that windy. Unless I had a rescue craft I wouldn't be doing any over water. Have fun they look like fun "toys".

Finally back in LOS. First shot over the water. Not enough wind :( nor enough water to test the workability of the setup in riding conditions; to be followed tomorrow, hopefully.

Finally got the conditions I was after for the proof of the pudding.
Conclusive test and mini assessment:
- handles 12-15 knots with no control issues whatsoever, even for the total quadcopter beginner I am
- still flies fast against the wind, suggesting that the 18 knots are very doable
- the only precaution taken was to have the quadcopter grabbed for landing; I don't think it would appreciate sand in the motors.
- in stronger winds, I think care should be taken so it doesn't flip on takeoff.
- perhaps tuning down the rudder reaction with the Nazam Assistant would help getting smoother panning.
- need more practice to follow the riders closer.

Improving every day... Here are captions of videos taken yesterday. If I find the time and the right music, I'll upload a short clip, so you get an idea what you can get with a a quite affordable setup.
The first picture is not of Sanur obviously, but I just had to add it.

Sorry, the menu on that page doesn't work yet; the update of my web editor doesn't seem to like the old extensions.
