Donating equipment to college clubs (Tax write offs)

Hey all

The Collegiate Kiteboarding Association is now processing donations on behalf of clubs at US colleges. We have 5x established clubs in FL and CA and some up-and-coming clubs for the 2013/2014 year, so we could really use additional equipment to get more college students out on the water riding. Donors will be supplied with a donation receipt for tax purposes and liability waiver.

Cheers,
CKA

How can I become a member of these clubs? I'm a college student in Miami and never heard about these clubs before. Sounds cool.

hey jats!

UM has had a club in the past. What school are / will you be going to? If there isn't already a club at your school, the CKA is offering annual memberships for $75 to individual college students - see attached.

You could always start a club too!

Bump. We can always use some help. Get in touch if you have some old gear lying around and we can get you a tax write off.

The Association is a 501c(3)?

(My apologies to non-U.S. forum users....... this applies to U.S. income taxpayers. Not sure if there are tax deductions available for "charitable donations" under other countries' tax laws, but I'd be interested to hear......and it'd probably still be on topic. :?: )
