I've seen pictures here from this kite as well.
I had that proto in Corpus Christi for testing last week, it is going to Greece tomorrow.

It is a bridled 9 Meter...not the tiny front line connection arrangement on the stock Judge kites.
So it is something more like a Blade Prime...or Ozone C4, Core GTS2, Cabrinha Chaos, Nobile 50Fifty, Switch Element 2, Naish Park, SS RPM.
Dimitri has not said that Judges are getting bridles, he is just trying things like always.

Kind of funny, the first comment when I pumped it up, was that it was a great looking kite.
I explained that it was just a simple proto graphic design, but the guy said it was good the way it is.

My observations:

Direct feel, with a nice quick no hesitation turn, does not feel sle-ish.

Generates power through the turns like a C kite should.

Backs up properly when you ride towards it.

Don't know about boost, as I was on a strapless surfboard.

More sheeting range than the stock Judge has, for sure...more useable range.

Airframe feels really solid in the air, like the stock Judge.

Feels like more bottom end than a 9M C kite normally has.

It was baddass...typical Epic kite! :thumb:

Here is a pic of the Judge 9 proto.
I really like the way this one flies with a bridle. :mosh:
But I like the all yellow/gold color better on the production Judge on bottom, ..much less prone to staining. :thumb:

I'm pretty sure you have nothing to worry about Nik.
That kite will be there tonight, so you can test it all weekend! :thumb:

soul19 wrote:What is the status of the 4G judge kite? I am interested in this kite but it just seems that nobody puts any real miles on these kites! I have been keeping my eyes open for some used judges to buy and try but either people love them and keep them or they just aren't selling any of these kites? I get the usually bites of info from people who are these Epic threads (valuable but not enough to take the plunge) and was hoping for some better footage than dimitri telling the camera that he doesn't really like these kites but favours the screamers! This is the second post on this thread asking about the 4G judge with no real response back outside a potential prototype! Dimitri some info and updates would be appreciated as there are some of us out there that aren't interested in the screamer/renegades and are hoping to see if you have a decent wake kite? I don't care about boosting to the moon and want a kite that enables me to jump powered like I was wake boarding or snowboarding! Low pull and either you hit the trick fast or eat it and try again :thumb: There are no judge demo's around my area and if I have to buy before I try than it is in my best interest to buy from the big boys as they have a team of riders that put imput into their C style of kites!

James
i fly the judges 2 years now 6,8,11.

6m:need guts to pass the bar since the kite works at 27 knots+(i m 80 kilos).great for surf and puts you to the thrill if you megaloop it from 35+.not a chance to forgive you if you dont go commited to loop

8m:thats a hell of a great kite.unhook fun starts from 16 knots for me an great megaloops if you have the guts to go for it from a ramp after 25kn.awesome realunch.no need to use it suicide since the mini fith of the bar saves you and the kite from been destroyed

11m: 12 knots is enough to throw every wake style trick.put your bar length to 45 and becomes a cable.effortless relaunch and great high end.upwind is a bit poor but we can have it all

These are some pictures of the EPIC demos we are doing on the island of RHODOS, Greece called "Prasonisi".

P.S. The first day we got here there was no wind. No other kites were up because it was blowing 1.28 knots as a low / 3.24 knots as an average / 7.2 knots as the high. These measurements were taken from the NEILPRYDE school that was on the beach and this is why I know the exact wind speed. The person in charge did not believe any kite could stay up in the air in this wind. So I decided to prove him wrong and decided to pump the INFINITY V3 to put it the test. The INFINITY V3 was up in the air in less then 20 minutes. You don't know how many people came up to me asking "WHAT SIZE IS THIS!!!!". Any way after playing on the beach showing people how good the INFINITY V3 was able to kite loop and stay up in the air I decided to venture in the water. By then the wind picked up to 7 to 10 knots and I was able to kite for 35 minutes by myself until the 19 meter FLYSURFER came out to join me. Then after 20 minutes the wind picked up to 12 to 16 knots and then had to put the kite down and take the SCREAMER 14 and the SCREAMER 9 for my son Cameron. So in few words we all had a great time.
Then the second day was much better (18 to 24 knots).
Let's see how today will turn out.
