T-REX, TAKING KITESURFING TO NEW HEIGHTS.

Kitesurfing is evolving fast and with that so are our surfboard shapes. The 2014 T-REX is developed for riders that want to improve their surf and aerial skills. This progressive shape is trending in the surf industry and has become Patrick Rebstock’s preferred surfboard. Its unique shape provides less swing weight on spin and flip tricks, while still maintaining a tight and precise feel on turns. Try the new T-Rex and take your riding to a whole new level.

INTRODUCING THE NEW VERSA FIN SYSTEM.

We all know that even at our local spot the waves are different everyday. Tides and swell direction can change the power and shape of the waves. It was based on these variations that we developed the Versa Fin System. These new fin configurations on the T-REX allow you to change your fin set up to better suit your session, making your board more fun no matter what that day’s conditions are or, what your preferred riding style is.

2014 Rally specs say it has slightly more low end, faster and with a new aspect ratio. Be curious to see what that is about, as the kite looks pretty darn similar to prior years. Just a tweak, I suspect.

I like that they now have multiple wing tip attachment points. Moving from the corner to the tip will increase turning and decrease pressure. Be nice to play around with that setting and see what works best.

Also, did you see this new toy? Psyched as I have the 2013 version of this from the WAKE line but it looks like they now have a prettier kite specific model;

Used the 2014 Rally 12m too and that is a great improvement....thinking of getting a 12 & 9 even if it's just for the hangtime :D :D

i think it is also "more aerodynamic"
i.e. they may be tweaking canopy a little year to year based on where team riders want it to sit in window, slack etc.

I couldn't agree more! I hope the people @ Slingshot listen to the users as they are making great stuff ( I have been using and appreciated them, with other brands, for 10 years now..) and don't need to sound ridiculous as their marketing people are making them sound...nice improvement for 2014 which people will appreciate and buy...accept a modest comment: let the facts (athletes, teams, event and equipment do "most" of the talking... :)
