Wet Kites

Postby wolber » Mon Jul 15, 2013 7:44 pm

Do to a storm main bursting, I found some of my kites soaking wet after a week, probably under water for a day before the water drained. The're not smelling very pretty.

Anybody have any idea what the best way to sanitize them? Not sure if anything is technically wrong with them other than a funky smell (clearly some mold issue). Any opinions on that?

Thanks. One of them is a new Rally, so it would make me very happy to save them.

If you're at the beach, give them a good dunking in some salt water. Maybe even wipe them down with a sponge after (and rinse again) to get off any mildew before it dries & stains. Let them dry completely before repacking them.

if you have flood insurance, you might be getting yourself a new 2014 set of kites
