Do you really expect to find the flipflopping quick release strap when the $hit hits the fan? When you are going on your belly 1000kmh then there is no way you can get to the release. First thing is that you should always put the release to one side you remember. What if you would need to release it with the other side's hand? Not gonna work! Velcro is perhaps bullet proof to open (there were batch where it wasn't), but the main point is that it's dangerous when in emergency need. Take a look for example at North's system, that's easy to use.
omg are you for real ?
If you are dragging on your belly then there is no way you will manage to release a push release. think about it.

kochease wrote:I love the velcro quick release. works everytime and never fails from sand or accidently gets released from hitting the water or brake like all those plastic crap QR's on other brands bars. I absolutely HATE center quick release!!!. I have broke several of them from several brands and not to mention malfunctions from sand and other stuff, then there is the random release flaw when bumped with center QR.
Velcro release is clean, simple, effective, won't accidently release on you, compact and easy to use.
F-One has the bar dialed in, hope it stays the same. I have faith in the bar when boosting, unlike others that feel like i could break them over my knee like a twig and covered in plastic shit pieces.
Keep up the great work f-one and show all these other companies how bars should be made especially when a company is going to price gouge you over $400 bones thenthe bar should be bad ass like f-one and not plastic thin AL shit like LF or some wierd ass spring on your center rope like cab........
I dunno bro, I will give you the phone number of a young widow whose deceased husband did not get the chance to acyivate the f-one velcro QR. the guy who atemptemted CPR on him said it was "twisted inside".. Did he try and failed, did he get knocked out and couldn't try? No one really knows but the story is that a chap died on my lake in open waters attached to an unreleased kite. That is enough not to buy one And I love the kite by the way. Very fun to ride.

At my local spot a young man got dragged for 200m until he hit a side of a house. then sadly he died from his injuries.
Guess what bar he had. Yes it was a NORTH bar with an Iron hart.

Think what you want, being dragged on land and open water are two things. The guy was going out, no jumps, no loft no contact with hard objects. Are you hinting that a velcro on and wouls have done better when dragged on land. If yes under which rational? At least you should tell people not to close the little velcro all around the buckle...otherwise their QR becomes almost unusable. Rehashing the promotional brochure does not help much. I rode with that bar for ours, tried the QR many times. Even some F-one die hard who rode nothing but f-one since the first Tribal sat down with other riders ans tried their QR after the accident. They came to that conclusion...don't close the velcro all around the buckle... Ever.
