Good times; thanks for the advice, guys !
I was thinking that it won't be a big deal; besides, if I hook my leash in suicide than I can quickly pull the bar back to me if it pops off.
And -yeah- it's a C kite, so ever better, right ?
"just keep a hand on your loop while you're launching and landing to keep it in your harness and you'll be fine" -> will do !
"On the other hand I think it is safer to not use one. I believe it is better to get the bar as far away from you in a bad crash so you don't make things worse by steering the kite or looping it"
--> good point, haven't thought about this before.
"But I ride hooked in high aspect kites that will rip your arms off if loaded up with immense apparent wind if i come unhooked. " --> Hah'Ha I hear ya' ! I have one just as you describe. 17m Speed1
PS: no, it's not a survey. I call it "keeper tube" or "locking pin" if I show the bar to someone new to kiting. Thought "donkey dick" was the norn among kiters Hah'HA !!
