Postby jespin4845 » Mon Jul 22, 2013 2:05 pm

looking to get a 2012 on closeout, undecided between the 11 or 9, need it from 20knots, meaning i want the sweet spot to start around 20 i guess, am 200 lbs, can any fuel riders chime in? maybe use it with a surfboard at 18... thanks

at your weight (i'm the same weight and have flown the 11m fuel a lot) the 11m will work best in 20kts on a twintip - 132-136ish ... powered up! the 9m will work well on the wave board in 20kts, but won't have sheet in and go big power on the twintip ... especially in the lulls.

200 pounds I don't take my 11 out of the bag until it reaches 25 knots or more. I suppose it depends what you are using it for, you won't need as much power if you are using it with a surfboard.

I'm 20lbs lighter and I pull out my 9m at 20kts. I would go with the 11m if I was you.
