Yes. Andy Yates in the PKRA in particular rides the Fuel with a tensioned 5th line for better relaunch and upwind performance. Probably easiest to buy the kite and some other bar separately instead of the compstick so it supports the 5th line without having to do it yourself.
I would not rig the fuel to ride 5 lines because it's the only 4 line C kite in the market right now, if you want a 5 line C kite you have a bunch of options, if you buy the fuel, one reason is because 4 lines.
I know older C kites have a thick enough leading edge you can decide 5th line slack or tensioned your choice, but it seems all the modern C kites you have to have a tensioned 5th line or the kite tacos, the leading edge is too thin to rig it any other way.
I know Ruben Lenton likes the 4 lines, maybe next year the Best GP will come out with a thicker leading edge so you can ride it 4 line.
