Alright....can you explain the different characteristics of the chronix with the trailing edge adjustments from a real kiters perspective, not the marketing blurb and can you relate this to actual riding experience? Can you really turn this baby from a higher aspect (well relatively at an AR of 5), jumping upwind machine, to a low grunty wave kite? What is lost in reality? Is the wake style setting compromised because of this?

What I am saying is, to claim to can have one kite that can compete with all specifically designed kites seems a little far fetched...but is it, can you really claim that by changing just the trailing edge it you can compensate for the overall geometry of the overall canopy?

Lets say the kite is set at neutral in half way all round land, what is the actual feel like through the bar. Does it develop its power though apparent wind, static grunt, all out power spike grunt or is it a combination of them all. If you are on a reach and you really pull in on the bar what happens with this kite? That will explain the above.

What will be it's forte you feel based on its overall profile shape?

Is it a kite you can stall? Is it sensitive to stalling?

Noticed in one of the video clips the wing tips seem to move a lot, flop around a bit, how does this work at the real high end of these kites. Does it become punchy? Do the wind tips fold in a little on a fast turn, the pyschos did and it annoyed me no end?

When you load up and really send it and pull the bar in have you looked up? What do you notice about the canopy? Does it fold open a little or keep its shape?

Have you tried the self launch near its upper wind range? Is it still useable for those conditions.

There is a demo landing in Western Australia Perth soon, so I will take your comments on board when demoing this kite. I'm secretly excited behind it, flew foils for years before settling on the edge.

Speed 3 21m - Future uneven span wise bridle shrinkage

Speed 3 Uneven Span Wise Bridle Shrinkage - should I be concerned?

I have a 21m Speed 3 Purple Edition - love the kite and the mixer is keeping it flying nice. Have only had to replace the depower line so far. SPL's still have good adjustment in them. However I have a question for the future that is specific to the speed 3's as I have many of them.... Should I be concerned about the uneven span wise bridle shrinkages that will occur due to the uneven loading across the span of the kite from a1 to a7 and b1 to b8, c1 to c8 and br 1 to br10 etc over the next year or so? I haven't measured at the moment and it flies fine so this isnt a problem I have now - however at some point if I would like to get back to factory measurements this may be an issue and I will need to correct for it?

Reading the forums - people who have documented and measured these uneven bridle span shrinkages were mostly on pyscho3/4 kites - I did read somewhere that the speed3 was developed so these span wise uneven changes wouldnt be anywhere near as dramatic? Is this true? Are they so small as to not adversely affect the kite over the life of the bridle?

Should they need correcting, What is the best way to correct for these uneven shrinkages that will occur due to different loading across the span of the bridle. Others have suggested shortening all the bridle lengths so they have all shrunken by the same amount using loops on the lcls and then maybe the mixer to take the kite profile to flat again (typically the brake lines shrink by far the most) - however I would be concerned that would "curve" the kite as all the lines are shorted - but the main wing is not... ? I would imagine it would be better to create small extensions to add to the bridle LCL's to take the lengths back to factory condition?

Lastly - what is the best length flying lines in your experience to fly with the 21m? Some say its 24 m but I do not see on your website how to buy 3m extensions.

Thanks for the help and keep making the awesome innovations - after first trying a flysurfer I instantly became a convert and swapped my whole quiver out for speed 3's and speed 4's. Awesome innovations!

The Cronix looks like an exciting new focus for the company. What does this direction mean for Flysurfer's foils? Will you be limiting future foil development to the successful light wind category, or will you continue to offer a full range of foils for all wind conditions? How do you see your product line developing over the next 5 years?

Will we see a Psycho5? Many people on the forums say that the Speed4 took the place of the Psycho5, but yet you still have the Psycho4 in your line up. So, I'm curious if we can look forward to a Psycho5 in the future.

In your opinion, what are the main areas for foil improvement? How about for inflatables?

Thanks! Looking forward to the chat.

Any plans for some bigger, lightwind sizes for the Cronix?
15m or 16m maybe?
