Foil - wave riding

I am looking for videos showing somebody ripping waves on a foil.
I would not believe it two weeks ago.
Now I believe it!

This is my learning how to ride small waves:

you are right - gopro wide lens. However it was small ocean swell without breaking waves. I am still dreaming about proper waves. I am looking for any visualisation somebody ripping the waves.

Interesting vid. I saw three guys:
-a windsurfer ripping in the waves
-a kitesurfer practicing tacks on a SB in the shallows
-a kitesurfer practicing turning a FB on choppy swell

Now seriously , I've already seen Marc Blanc rip insanely on a FB on flatwater, the guy is an amazingly talented rider. If this is the best that one of the best foil riders in the world can do in the waves, it means only one thing: foilboards are not meant for waveriding. Go figure, something without rails that is not meant for waveriding

I believe you do not ride foil if you so worried about it. I wouldn't begin from the Jaws. A long meter with period above 10s is enough to enjoy it.
I am talking about fun of wave ridding and hopeing to see that somebody manages rip the wave as on a classic surf board. I think it's possible. I'm going to focus on it in coming months.
Did anybody see a foiler riding waves unhooked? In my mind it's a lot of fun too.

Other riders wont want a foil board washing through the zone, but then they wont want a kite washing through it either.

Hard to imagine a foil taking the drop on a steep wave. Its pretty impressive to even see Marc Blanc riding around strapless among those waves on a foil, switching stance and tacking.

Its probably going to need a different foil design for waves - maybe a wide curved foil where the foil isn't so far from the feet - more of a flat U shape. With it being so far away, reactions are slowed down, so a surf design may operate partly underwater when banked, like some V shaped foils do now.

There are quite a few videos of surfing swells or the shoulders of waves on a foil and a surfer does a back loop while riding the shoulder on a foil at 3 minutes in this video, but that's pretty much where foils have got stuck for about 10 years now, unless Marc Blanc or someone moves it forward.
