this more funny than stupid...a blast from the past, real copy from BEST, circa 2005
All BFK's have an ultra thin leading edge & strut design which minimizes drag & kite weight. These new innovations in leading edge and strut design are simply not possible on a normal kite without the benefits of ASS. The power captured by the wider span is made possible by the fact that ASS works to maintain the profile of the span arc at all times and under any load. The kite never flares, deforms or jellyfishes, it just has constant, controllable power to turn those boring light wind days into full-on adrenaline soaked experiences.
if it was so good, where is ASS today? lol
"Excuse me ma'am, you ASS system is flaring and jellyfishing, let me help tighten things up on your ASS"
ASS = Arc Stabilization System for you noobs
BFK = big fuckin' kite (seriously!)
They had to be laughing their ASSes off when they wrote and published that

Only a surfer knows the feeling you are a kook. Kiters are not surfers and I hate when they say I am going urging if you are using a kite you are going kitesurfing. You should probably play golf and get on course at 12 noon barn.

If I hear another idiot describe his session as "epic!" I might be inclined to stab him repeatedly with a dull knife.

I get out very early (pre-7am), but have never connected it to any sort of "patrol". It's just a way to get out around my job and family responsibilities. A more appropriate name would be a "no points ride", if I make it home before 9:00 am.
Calling an early morning ride a "Dawn Patrol" is like calling an afternoon ride "Storming the Beach"
Call it what you want, but know that you
sound like an idiot when you use an 40 year old surfing term, or compare flying a kite during peace-time on a sunny beach to a military operation.
Dude.
