For hangtime you need wind!
I not enough I don't hang as well!

Great to hear you are progressing like that!

I don't loop if the wind is too strong!
Don't want to get hurt!
But the secret for looping in stronger wind is to fly it slowly over the zenith and further to the wind edge...then pull hard on the bar and loop it

Yes, i am finding out i need more and more wind for the good stuff. Even with the 18. Feels ridiculous sometimes. My best sessions are when wind picks up, to the point i would have never taken it out to start with. Just wish there was a saver way to land. There have been times when beach got hard (low tide) and wind picked up, that with coming off, that i started sliding. Not so nice. But on the water it was great.

Toby, I know you do jesuswalk and 720 boardoff with 13kn. That must be with loop. How much stronger may the wind be for you, to still loop?

Adam, check on a Russian online shop...they should have some.

I do Jesus Walks and Slides in 20+ knots as well...then I just keep sliding and running longer, so the kite is on the edge, then looping is no problem!

Low Kiteloops maybe up to 18 knots ;-)

Yes Zkatez, that's the way how to get into riding with more power...stay out when the wind picks up ;-)
But being able to land safely is important...you need a helper for sure.
Do you have my DVD? There I explain how you could land it when being over powered.

Update!

I have now bagged a mint 18 Dyno so should be with me Tuesday (cheers Steve). And also have a mint 20mR6 for backup. :D :D

I have the DVD (cheers Toby) and will be taking more note. But do think it is also good to share on here!

I'm sure I will ask questions that have been all asked before i.e. what range to expect from the 18 dyno (92kg rider)?

Hahaha.. up to 28.. haha.

Yes i got your DVD. It is a big help. Maybe i missed this part. Will check it. But for safety....you cannot always plan everything. I seriously do try to keep things save. Worst case i will pull QR. Have you done that yet. When really overpowerd. Does it work. Or does it float and swirll around in the air.

Adam,
Wauw. Lucky you.
What you can do with 18 is so personal. You will find out. Some people will feel overpowerd under 20 recardless of weight. Small board helps.

Oops, sorry, meant 18 knots ;-)

Great you got a Dyno!
Tell us how you like it!

I have 93 kg...128x38 board to be able to edge hard against the kite's power...

So do think about the board as well.

I assume you can use it from 10-22 knots.
Just try and see yourself.

Yes, if wind gets too strong, just release.
So far I was able to hold it down in stronger gusts.
During competition in Austria this year it peaked to 30 knots...
I just stayed out since I didn't want to land on small and packed beach and also didn't want to launch again.
Was only short time that strong, so all good.

(Sorry for the English, is google translate :D )

I also I have my DVD, and I really like. Again I have hope in learning new tricks and improve my style.

I started kitesurfing in 2005, and since then I hope to make the Dead man, but i have never a bar with MicroLoop.

After receiving the DVD I bought a barNorth 2011 4 lines and put the kit MicroLoop, the Dead man have returned to my beach!

I have no good pictures, but here put something.. (20 knots Airush Flow 2008 10m)

I weigh 65kg and I use VXR 2012 13m Airush to 18 -20 knots. Choppy conditions. This kite has much hangtime thought in turn is different from others, and to be able to land a jump and go well, I have to keep the kite in Zenit, almost until the board touches the water (soft landings with this kite), if i turn the kite before I lose speed at the land and i stop, it must be because this kite is very flat ..

With 20 knots use 2008 Airush Flow 10m. The photos are with this kite. It is very easy to land well with this kite.

My child table is 123x38 haha. Since the use I've noticed that I can withstand more wind with the kite. The trouble is that the table has no handle, and I have to put one in order to keep progressing.

This summer I learned the dead man, I have improved the technique and style of high jumping, I got the dark-slide, I have improved the style and variety of rotations, adding grabs, etc. ..

Well, little by little ..

I really liked the part of the DVD where you explain how not to injure land, I injured the knee last year for wanting to land a trick I knew that was wrong, if I had taken off the board I had not done anything ...

I encourage everyone to post pictures and share experiences .. :D

yes, the landing and crashing part is very important, that's why it is on it.
I don't want anyone to be injured, and just pass on my experience with the how to part.
Helped me for sure! :thumb:
