Hello Kamikuza. The good thing about these new RONSTAN pulleys is that they are very light compare to the ones we are using now because of the material it's made of. But they do the same job then the one we have on our (3G) EPIC kites.
I told RONSTAN to give me at least 18 to 24 months so I can see if their is any wearing on these pulleys or on the lines but so far so good.

P.S. This picture is from one of the SCREAMER kites I have been using with the new RONSTAN pulleys. You can see a little of wearing on the line which is nothing, but this kite has been used a lot. For a normal kiter it will be like almost 2 years of kiting. But again everything wears out. Same thing with the tires of a car.

Great post! Thanks for sharing the info.

Appreciate the real time feedback, Dimitri! Looks like a nice product. Pulleys suck.

Just trying to help the best way I can in order to share some of my experiences with the sport we all love so much.
Any way, these are few more pictures of the new RONSTAN pulley, but this time on the RENEGADE model. This kite has been used not as much as the SCREAMER model that you saw pictures from.

Dimitri you must have bought the entire supply from Ronstan LOL. I ordered some a month ago to try on a depower foil from Annapolis Performance Sailing and they are still backordered. I'll be stoked to try them out.

Maybe the only way is to demo an Epic Kite?

I also placed an order over a month ago with a nearby West Marine location; I have yet to hear from them--but then it wouldn't surprise me if they came in and they just never called.

     you guys are funny. The guys at RONSTAN sent me only (12) of these pulleys so I can test them on 6 of my prototype kites, but that was 9 months ago. I did not know they had them for sale already.
Any way this picture was taken 4 days ago on the SCREAMER 9 prototype using these pulleys.

Oddly enough, they're actually cheaper here :o by about $1.50 each

How are the Shocks and the lines holding out, Mr D?

Ackshully... I've only had to replace tyres on cars when they've exploded or had gashes in side-walls... I've never worn out car tyres.

My bike, on the other hand, goes through a pair of tyres in 2,000km - or less :o
