Should anyone be interested, I wrote a comparison of the 2013 Fuse and the 2014 Rebel here:

Without getting into a mud slinging match.....so much depends on exactly how you jump.
i.e I see a lot of guys slowly bring the kite up to 12 pull the bar in and up they go...kind of.
Then there is the edge like mad man and wang it up as fast as possible...you do not need to be traveling fast...just edging real hard and totally lit.

There are kites that suit both styles, if your riding the wrong kite for your style you will not get the maximum out of it.

I know which style (and kite) I prefer.

I for sure am going to miss the Fuse as well. Such a great allround kite! And yes, I like 4 line simplicity after having ridden 5th line kites for years. Been here before though. Rode Naish Ravens for years and found it hard to replace those, finally found more than I had in the Bandit Dos. Some options now as well, curious about the Core XR3 for instance and the Bandit 6 is a great kite as well. Time will tell...

Shame Fuse was favorite kite I've flown(2011 and 2012s) for how I like to ride. No 5th line for me. Oh we'll - goodbye north. Core xr3 looks pretty identical shape 4 liner to me

I'm actually in a process of trading my XR3 10 for a B6 10m, so I'll be able to give you guys a direct comparison.

Don't get me wrong - I really liked the XR3. Boosting and hangtime are just ridiculous, but after a few sessions I came to a conclusion that unreal boosting (and unreal upwind... and unreal windrange... and top notch quality) alone are not enough. The thing that was bugging me in XR3 10m right from the first ride - it doesn't loop very well and I believe all kites with a similar profile like Ozone Edge and Cab's SB suffer from it. A basic maneuver like downlooping is always a bit of a gamble - it's either too tight or too wide, but never anything more or less consistent in between. Haven't seen a kite which I'd struggle as much to keep from crashing during a simple tack with a downloop. Instead of looping it feels like the kite is diving down like a freaking bomber and requires a lot of attention to recover. Very frustrating side by side with kites that do these sort of things effortlessly.

At the end it simply isn't my pot of soup... or I'm just too used flying kites with a deeper profile (read c-shaped). Luckily my local dealer hooked me up with somebody who was looking to trade his B6 for an XR3. Hopefully this one will work out better for my needs.
