Way to go! I've often thought about somehow affixing some extra rope on the back of my harness for situations like this. This guy did our sport good!

Theyve attaches rope to the harness of a kiteboarder by me to rescue a downed kiter in side offshore winds. He couldnt self rescue when the wind shifted and was slowly drifting out to sea. They went out and grabbed his gear and then rode back in with the downed rider in tow.
