Stupid parents.

Was solo landing my 13m edge yesterday and this swam of kids ran onto beach. maybe 6 or 8 of them ranging from 4-8 yrs.
The instantly run towards the kite as i'm lowering it and try to grab it. So I fly it out of the way and tell them and the mother that its dangerous for them. I move away and go to land down the beach. The snot gobblers follow. So I tell them again. No listening. so I tell them a third time. All this time the mother is just standing there letting her kids run amok.
Finally I manage to get the kite down without kids in the way.
So the kids run up. and start chucking sand on my kite and yanking the lines. I tell them and the mother it is dangerous and they can hurt themselves and not to play with the kite.
I'm then winding up my lines and the kids are back kicking the kite chucking sand on it one of the is standing and jumping up and down on the canopy.
The mother is just standing there watching doing nothing.
WTF?
So now I'm getting a bit pissed. I go up one last time and state to the mother and the kids not to touch the kite. Then I mention to the mother that its very expensive and she will be liable to replacement if its damaged. I'm bluffing.
She finally gets the message and moves the kids on.
So..... it was perfectly fine in this womans mind to let her kids play with something dangerous that she didn't own..... But not acceptable if she had to pay for repairs......?
Stupid. Some people shouldn't be aloud to breed.
Rant over.
