No more production of the North Fuse

Postby Caesar » Thu Aug 08, 2013 7:27 pm

Hi,

Am I the only one pi**ed off about that North decision?
I finally found the best jumping kite out there, great quality kite and now that.
Is there any other 4 liner available with similar specs (jumping stupidly high, long distance and with such a long hangtime)?

Cheers
Caesar

Consider a Zeeko Notus. Very playful with lots of hangtime and jump height.

Or one of kites from the race guys. Like Ozone Edge, North Dyno, Zeeko Pursuit. They have lots of hangtime too...

Hi guys,

Thanks for the suggestions.
Ozone Edge- a few people kite them here but I don't see anything special. No spectacular heights or hangtime. Maybe I'm missing something? Come over coleman and show me.
Switchblades- had them before (and still have 2 of them for my GF). They are ok, but they are is comparison to the Fuse (by miles).

Cheers

Hi mate,

I'm sure that was sarcasm from you.
I kited the Screamers (9m and 10m LTD) and the Fuse just last weekend at the same conditions in Baleia/North Brazil and the Screamers were boring as hell compare to the Fuse. All that Epic writing is just a big hype.
Now you Epic followers go on and tell me different. I hope someone will come here and we will have a session side by side.

My Epic stuff went to the local kite shop here in Cumbuco this morning and is for sale. Come and buy it please- you will get them at a good price.
I just wanted to get rid of them and then never want to hear anything of Epic again.

Cheers
Caesar

If you can not jump high and long on a Switchblade then you are doing it wrong... But look at the Velocity, that goes long and high.

Other kites to watch:
- Best Nemesis HP
- Core XR2/3
- Peter Lynn Fury
- Switch Nitro
- RRD Obsession
- Airush Varial X race (VXR)

Hi Marc,

I jump pretty high and long with the Switchblades- no worries. That's why I was with them for 4 years. But I'm sure you did not have a go at the 2013 Fuse (or you would not have made that comment). The Fuse is out of the league and nothing I have tried so far is as good as that kite (I'm not affiliated with North whatsoever).

Cheers

I must admit I did not try the 2013 version, the 2012 was not better in jumping then the 2012 Switchblade. But I hope you find the right kite.

But why not get a couple of 2013 Fuses extra then for less money?
