Thanks guys for the info, I'll go over the links, and I'll try the contacts.
I'm still waiting (since Aug 19th) for a membership approval to nyckitesurfers yahoo group.
The reports about pollution is quite disturbing.

I think those reports are probably exaggerated. Check the actual data on bacteria count, etc. it might not be any worse than water near the suburbs. In any case, there are lots of places to ride on Long Island and in New Jersey.

Plumb Beach is first place that you want to visit if you have no car .... U can get there by subway + some walking time .... shallow , flat and always some local kiters when wind is blowing .... make some friends and explore another locations that mostly require car or train ride .....

3. What are my options for selling second hand equipment? Craig's list, ebay?
For example, I want to sell my F.One Bandit 2010. Would there be a market for it? How much should I get for it?
