Hi guys I bought some used Dakine Nitrous shorts, for $50, there is a few small holes/tears, has anyone had success patching holes or tears? My holes are about 1" long and wide.

Chewing gum. Duct tape. Papier mache. A spare gerbil if you have one. All work.

sarc can I borrow your gerbil, you sound like you know what your talking about.
Serious, why can't someone ask a regular question and get a normal answer?

I have no experience patching harnesses, but I'll asnwer anyway because I'm really bored
Where are the holes? In the fabric shorts part or in the load bearing harness part?
If it's just in the shorts, Sarc's recommendatation of duct tape sounds pretty good. Maybe try some of that wetsuit repair glue, sail tape, doesn't really matter, it's just shorts.
If there's a tear in the load bearing harness part, I wouldn't trust the harness anymore. If you really want to fix it though you could go to a tailor and have them sew it up for you.

i bought some rip tape for tents I will see if this holds up. the holes are in the shorts, the issue with the tailor I thought was maybe the fabric type on the shorts, and how to sew or patch with similar material. or maybe any material would be fine.
