Old 2 fin North Race Ltd how user friendly?

Postby stevo911_ » Thu May 02, 2013 6:49 pm

I've been looking at freerace style boards mostly (ie. airush sector 54, rrd k-free) but an old '09 North Race popped up fairly cheap semi-locally (couple hours away).
That got me wondering, since it would be less than half the price, are these things easier to ride, but less competitive than the more modern race boards, or are they just as hard or harder to ride, and still less competitive than modern race boards? (I know it wouldn't be competitive, just not sure where it sits on the difficulty to ride well spectrum)
Cheers,
Steve

The old 2 fin North LTD is nowhere near competitive these days, but it is an easy board to ride and a great light wind board for someone who is not racing.

A good description of the board from a very experienced kiter.

Its fun and rides like a tt in that it can be ridden heal down but tacking was a bit hard to master. You can jibe to toe side and then switch though. Its fun and light as a cork.
