India - Mumbai

Postby mickpilch » Wed Oct 31, 2007 10:56 am

Are there any spots nearby? I'm spending 3 weeks in India over Christmas and thats the only place where i'll be near the sea....I've heard the water's not too clean in the immediate vicinity but maybe there's some decent spots not too far away?

I'm not gonna bother dragging my kit around with me so if anyone knows of anywhere I can hire some gear and have a sail i'd be very grateful.

Cheers

Pilch

I second that - took a walk on the beach when i was there - saw all these lumps on the sand - thought it must be from some type of razorclam .... lol ... until I saw about 40 guys squatting having a dump.
See its magic - tide comes in turd disappears .... dont think there is a Surfers Against Sewage branch out there.
Goa and Kerala seem cleaner. Sri Lanka apparently has good beaches and waves. Cant remember one windy day when I was there though in 6 weeks (november time)
