a buddy of mine recently purchased a Peter Lynn kiteboat (kayak style) - we took it out the other day and had a total blast - it was that typical day where everyone was blowing up big kites and doing downwinders
we took turns sharing a 12m and went out for hours on the kiteboat going upwind, downwind, sand-bar-hopping - what a blast! - it reminded me of the excitement I felt when I first got into kiteboarding
we even got my buddy's wife out who has great kite flying skills but not-so-good board skills
I hope everyone gets a chance doing something to enjoy that original stoke we all shared in the beginning

Hydrofoil has the same effect. After 8 years of kited, I'm now more addicted than ever
Plus the other day I was riding upwind on a 7m passing people doing downwinders on 17m-21m kites

I'm just recovering from an injury, I went out for a sick session in boots mowing the lawn doing powered carves in the sun.
I can't wait till I'm looping it again I don't think I'll contain myself

Yeah man. There are many ways to go kiting. Each one has a new stoke and new learning curve.
I also kite landboard, buggy and longboard skate with a kite.
Each has their own time and place where its more fun that the other. The more ways you can kite the more enjoyment you can have kiting.

Precisely - it is like a "mania" here now too - everybody is saying it is like being born again and reliving the stoke of kitesurfing when they started - just EVEN better now with hydrofoiling
