The Drifter is a wave kite...generally less low end. Compared to the same size Cabrinha SB, the
Cabrinha Drifter is about a M smaller in low end power.
The 2014 Drifter now has two wing tip settings. the B setting is the same as the 2013 rear line bridle. Now there is also an A setting which is closer to the wing tip. The A setting has lighter bar pressure, turns faster, and has a bit longer depower throw, and a bit less direct feel than the B setting.
Regarding the 10m SB...the low end power is back in the 2014s. Also, the kite turns faster and has more diect feel. All the things you like about the SB remain; easy relaunch, stable, perdictable, great range, boost, etc.
Additionally, the 2014s have a total double ripstop canopy. the majority of the canopy has something like a 50gsm double ripstop while the kite is framed in something like a 70 gsm double ripstop. The safety system has gone from a two center line flag system to a one center line flag system. This allows the center line V to be moved much closer to the bar/rider. It is now at the top of the depower bungees. This provides a more direct feel and the kite is more responseive to bar input
Hope that's helpful...

thanx
very helpful . think i will get a 10m sb no waves or just small ones , and when wind pick up, jump to 8m drifter . so the setup will be 10m sb 8- 5,5 drifter (2014) riding now naish park 10-8-6 and the 8-6 are 2011 and 10m 2012.. hate the 10m to slow like the 8-6 but no pull in turns. ok turn speed.
drifters turn speed??
