What kind of rope is Cabrinha using for the bridle?

Postby alexeyga » Thu Sep 12, 2013 8:17 pm

Does anybody know the specs and type of rope the Cabrinha, Core, F-one (and some others that i'm not aware about) are using in their bridle? The tough black one that is. Can't help noticing that it's almost wear-proof as far as wear from pulleys goes when compared to stuff that other companies are using and where it needs to be replaced every so often.

Sheathed dyneema of some sort . . . actually stumbled over a website selling what they claimed to be the exact same stuff - but I can't find it now :(

It's a double-braid Dyneema-cored and heavily woven polyester sheath 3 mm diameter line.

You can buy it by the foot ( = 30 cm ) from ProKitesurf in Texas - http://www.pksdistribution.com/proddetail.asp?prod=pks%5F3mm%5Fpulley%5Fbridle%5Fline

Never seen it anywhere else. Not sure who makes it.
