no question kiwis are the best sailors in the world, they certainly deserve the win.

but it will be real hard for most nations to compete at all without an international crew, in the past japan has fielded a team, team artemis the swiss team this time didn't have a single swiss sailor, so you would have australia, usa, italy, britain. We'll see what happens.

I wonder how much those ac72's will go for after this race. Or even the ac45's. They better not scrap them.

YES i agree, Kiwis are Better sailors, and were just Lucky to still be IN it !!
I wasn't too Proud of team Oracle, when they got caught cheating. :o :(

Now imagine setting up your Used AC72, with all electric winches to the helm so
just a crew of 3 or 4 could handle it with ease !!! Where could you sail that thing ; it's
not really good for the ocean is it ?

The best technology will win and putting in speed limits hurt one team and helped another. Last time Oracle won by large margins with better technology for the conditions and rules.

The rules won this one.

Leave it to kiteforum to put a negative spin on things.
Personally want to watch high performance racing and this is what is being delivered. If you want to watch a bunch of cheap slow boats going around the course you are into the wrong race. There are thousands of other regattas you can follow. Let's keep the Americas Cup EXTREME!

Can't wait for somebody to bring kiteboard racing into this. Maybe its a US thing but over here the main goal is to be as fast as possible no matter what BS The IKA has to say about it.
You bring your rig I bring mine. 5.4.1.Go

I've loved the dynamics of sailing since I was a kid. Watching those boats move through the air and water is beautifully fascinating.

Every single movement seems so familiar, but on a scale so far beyond my experience.
